Denmark’s Crown Princess Mary and Crown Prince Frederik attended an Australian Olympic Committee event and met a few of the athletes from Team Australia, 29 July 2012.

Zara Phillips and her horse High Kingdom run through the equestrian cross country course. Zara and High Kingdom had a fantastic penalty-free run, and after the dressage and cross country phases, Zara is tied for 10th in individual eventing and Team GB is in 3rd for team eventing.

Day 1 of the London 2012 Olympics—The Netherlands’ Prince Willem-Alexander, Princess Máxima and their daughters, Princess Catharina-Amalia, Princess Alexia, and Princess Ariane, cheer on the Dutch women’s swim team as they compete in the 4x100m Freestyle Relay final. [x]

I don’t know if it’s necessary to say so, but just in case it wasn’t clear, the Dutch ladies came up short of winning gold and got the silver instead.

Day 2 of the London 2012 Olympics—Denmark’s Prince Henrik, Crown Prince Frederik, Crown Princess Mary, and Princess Benedikte were at the Copper Box to cheer on the Danish Men’s Handball Team. It was a close match throughout but Denmark, a gold medal candidate, came out on top, beating Hungary 27-25.

Queen Margrethe has returned to Denmark for official duties back home but she will return to London on August 3rd.
